Police nab medic spreading rumor that kidneys of COVID-19 dead people are pirated

KATHMANDU: Police have nabbed Subas Subba Limbu, a naturopathist for spreading rumors that the kidney, eyes and lever of the people who die of coronavirus are racketed by the hospital and the medics involved.

A team of police deployed from the Metropolitan Crime Division nabbed Limbu from Dholahiti, Lalitpur on Monday for spreading rumor against the medics and hospitals.

In an interview in a YouTube Channel, naturopathist Limbu had claimed that the hospitals bar relatives see the body of the deceased and take out the vital parts of those dead by coroanvirus pandemic.

“There is no coronavirus in Nepal, if not why doesn’t it affect the people living in the streets?’ Limbu had said in his YouTube interview viewed by 92,000  people. “There are beggars in the government, COVID-19 has become an excuse for executing corrupt activities,” he had claimed.

He has even claimed that he has found the vaccine against coronavirus pandemic.

SSP Deepak Thapa of Metropolitan Police Crime Division informed that Limbu has been arrested for spreading rumors and inducing people against the service of the health workers and hospitals.
