5,514 persons test positive for COVID-19 so far in Province-2



JANAKPUR: A total of 5,514 individuals have been found infected with COVID-19 in Province-2 so far. In the last 24 hours, 179 persons tested positive for COVID-19 here. Parsa district is a registered most infected one.

Of the total infected, 18 are in Saptari, 10 in Dhanusha, nine in Sarlahi and four each in Bara and Rautahat districts.

A total of 3,304 persons have so far returned homes after complete health restoration in the Province. Twenty-five infected people have died of coronavirus in the Province till Friday. Similarly, 1,289 persons are in different 228 quarantines while 1072 in isolation centers.

A total of 66,156 individuals are tested for COVID-19. Meanwhile, the main administrative office of Province in Dhanusha is restricted for public entry.

It may be noted that the Internal Affairs Minister at the Province, Gyanendra Yadav, has also been infected lately.
