Province 1 sees 67 new COVID-19 cases on Friday



BIRATNAGAR: Morang, Sunsari and Jhapa districts of Province 1 have seen 67 more cases of COVID-19 on Friday.

According to the Ministry for Social Development of Province 1, with 64 cases in Morang, two in Jhapa and one in Sunsari have been confirmed till Friday afternoon.

The Ministry informed that 15 females and 52 males of the province were found coronavirus positive.

A total of eight females and 24 males of Biratnagar have tested positive out of which six males and 23 females are of Rangeli Municipality, two males of Budhiganga Rural Municipality and one female of Katahari Rural Municipality.

Similarly, one male each from Mechi Nagar and Birtamod Municipality have tested positive in Jhapa.

Likewise, one male of Dharan Sub-metropolitan City in Sunsari has also got coronavirus.

With this the number of coronavirus case in Province 1 has reached 1,322. The province got five more formerly COVID-19 positive people discharged after recovery.
