KATHMANDU: The government has decided to give the coronavirus test of the pregnant and lactating mother the top priority in the days ahead.

The Secretary level meeting of the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) organized in the Ministry on Tuesday decided to prioritize coronavirus test of the pregnant and lactating woman.

In its written directives to the labs executing the coronavirus test, the Ministry asked all to give the test of pregnant and lactating woman high priority.

With the increasing number of coronavirus cases in the country, the Ministry has asked the labs to give priority to the test of the pregnant and lactating woman as such women have turned more vulnerable due to pandemic spread.

It has asked the swabs of such woman to be tied with red ribbon or thread and send it to the lab for the test, so that they can get top priority.
