MAKWANPUR: Thaha municipality in Makwanpur district is to set up an industrial village with the goal of enterprise development and employment generation.
Mayor Lagsher Bista said that a feasibility study was being conducted for the same and the project for establishing the industrial village would be included in the policy and program for the next fiscal year.
He said the industrial village would be constructed at Naukhande Deurali of the municipality’s ward no 11. A technical study has been started for this purpose on a 100 ropani plot of land near the local Manokamana Temple.
The municipality has also brought plan for running various skills-based and income generation programs in partnership with the cooperatives.
