120 APF personnel including DSP quarantined

KATHMANDU: A total of 120 personnel of Armed Police Force (APF) including Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) have been quarantined.

According to APF Spokesperson DIG Praveen Kumar Shrestha, they were quarantined after having fever and the common cold.

The personnel were deployed at border points, health desk and other places to control and prevent COVID-19.

A total of 96 APF personnel have been quarantined in Sudurpaschim Province which is the highest number of personnel quarantined province wise.

According to Spokesperson Shrestha, 17 in Province 1, one in Province 2, five in Bagmati Province and one in Karnali Province have been put in quarantine.

“Necessary health checkup is being performed on those quarantined,” said Shrestha, “They will be deployed as per their health reports.”
