Ensure journalists’ security amid coronavirus pandemic: FNJ



KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has urged the government to announce facilities to journalists working during the coronavirus outbreak risking their health.

The FNJ, an umbrella organization of Nepali journalists, has also urged the government to ensure security to the journalists at this difficult situation.

Issuing a statement today, FNJ President Govinda Acharya asked the government to announce a package such as insurance, health checkups, and purchase of communications tools for journalists.

Acharya has also demanded the government to provide financial support as a relief to journalists.

Meanwhile, he has also urged media outlets to refrain from spreading rumors and fake news during this difficult time.
