Health workers restricted permission back home

SIMKOT: As a precaution against corona virus transmission in the village, Kharpunath Rural Municipality, Humla has restricted the healthworkers from returning home.

Keeping themselves alert at the possibility of getting the pandemic stretch its paws against the villagers, the villagers have taken this decision.

The inhabitants of Ward No. 5 of Kharpunath Village Development Committee have prohibited the healthworkers to return home.

Karna Bahadur Rawal, the Chairperson of Kharpunath Rural Municipality consented the decision of the inhabitants.

“It’s not for fun, it’s not against anyone,” Rawal said, “and its rewarding to all as it helps in ensuring safety of the villagers.”

After the notice issued by that ward, the Kharupunath based health center has made the arrangement for the lodging and fooding of three health-workers belonging that area.

“After we got the message, we managed food and stay facility to those affected by the Ward’s prohibition message,” Bali Raj Shahi, the coordinator of Kharpunath based health post

Lately, all 5 wards in the rural municipality, have restricted the health-workers from going home.

Coronaviurs which has spread in 208 countries of the world so far has infected 12,78,523 people worldwide.

Nine Nepalis are infected from coronavirus now. Although 8 infected cases were from the Nepalis coming from outside, one case of local transmission made the medics declare the pandemic has reached the second stage.
