Rangers, poachers exchange fire in Rautahat



RAUTAHAT: Rangers poachers have exchanged fire at Anjuman community forest in Gujara municipality-2 in Rautahat district.

A team of rangers on duty have fired two rounds of shots while poachers have opened two rounds of fires.

“No one has sustained injuries during the exchange of fires and the poachers fled the scene,” said Rajesh Kumar Sah, an official of Sector Forest Office, Choncha.

Meanwhile, security personnel have recovered a home-made gun from the incident site.

Rangers have seized 100 cubic feet of salwood and taken three poachers under control.

Division Forest Office, Rautahat said they are initiating a legal action against the arrested.
