South Korea reduces quota for Nepali workers

KATHMANDU: South Korea has reduced the quota for Nepali workers.

Next year, the country will be recruiting only 5,700 workers from Nepal.

During a meeting between a representative of HRD Korea and the Department of Foreign Employment on Friday, South Korea informed on the decrease of the quota.

South Korea will not be recruiting workers in the agricultural sector in the coming year. Last year, the quota was fixed at 10,050 with 3,000 in the agricultural sector and 7,050 in the industrial sector.
