PARSA : The number of people visiting health facilities with the complaint of viral influenza has increased lately in the district. With the weather change, the people with common cold and fever are thronging the hospitals.

Doctors said scorching heat during day and cold in the evening is also fomenting viral fever. Senior pediatrician at Narayani Hospital, Dr. Shailesh Thakur, has informed that children and senior citizens were hit hard with the viral
fever.

The number of such people is increased in recent weeks, he said, adding that more than 200 children visit the hospital with acute cold and fever daily these days.

Dr. Thakur urged the people to increase the intake of hot soup and pay heed to personal hygiene in view of the weather change. Washing hands with soap regularly and keeping children away from cold help minimize disease caused in the wake of weather change.
