KATHMANDU: Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) of Nepal Army (NAC) Purna Chandra Thapa has conferred insignia on newly-promoted Major General Suresh Kumar Karki.
Karki was conferred with the insignia during a special function organized at NA Headquarters on Friday.
A Cabinet meeting held on Sunday had decided to promote Karki who is head of Nepali Army War College in Nagarkot.
Karki who had made his image as a professional officer of the national army has completed a national defense course from China.
He has been assigned the Chief of Mid-Eastern Division of NA.
