KATHMANDU: Lawmakers today demanded the government to take stringent action against corrupts.

They also drew the government’s attention toward the adjustment of petroleum products on the basis of an automated pricing system.

Nepali Congress (NC) lawmaker Dila Sangroula said corruption has spread like coronavirus and sought a probe into the security printing press scam and punishment against the guilty.

Dilendra Prasad Badu of NC raised concern over a double rise in the tax of petroleum products. He urged the government to withdraw the decision immediately.

He demanded that the government fixed the price of petroleum products on the basis of its international price.
