Police arrest 14 gamblers in Bhaktapur



THIMI: Police raided a gambling den and rounded up 14 gamblers from Nilbarahi Resort in Madhyapur Thimi Municipality.

Police have also seized Rs 684,120 and IRs 7,660 in cash during the raid.

The arrested include resort operator Suresh Shrestha and 37-year-old Umesh, a local.

Nilbarahi Resort was being used as a gambling den for a long time, police said.

Acting on a tip-off that the gambling was underway at the resort, a police squad deployed from Metropolitan Police Circle, Thimi arrested the gamblers.
