NCP Secretariat majority decides to request PM Oli for meeting

KATHMANDU: The ‘informal’ meeting of the Secretariat of ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) called by Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” at Dhumbarahi has decided to request PM and Party Chairman KP Oli to call the formal meeting of the Secretariat.

According to NCP Spokesperson Narayankaji Shrestha, the meeting decided to go to PM Oli in group and request him for the party meeting to discuss about the differences.

“We requested in writing first on October 17 and later again on October 25 for the meeting, but PM Oli did not heed it,” Spokesperson Shrestha said, “ Now, we all five secretariat members assembled in party office here have decided to ask him in a group to call the meeting.”

He informed that the Secretariat members would meet PM Oli’s on Saturday.

Earlier, after PM Oli warned that provided a meeting is called without his consent, he would regard it as the starting point for party split.

Meanwhile, according to Shrestha, Dahal briefed the Secretariat members that PM Oli threatened that any meeting of the Secretariat called by Dahal would be the beginning point of party split.
