Septuagenarian man succumbs to COVID-19 in Chitwan



CHITWAN: A man succumbed to the coronavirus pandemic while undergoing treatment in Chitwan on Sunday morning.

According to the hospital, a 70-year-old man from Bharatpur Metropolitan City-15, who was undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College, died at 8 am this morning.

After complaints of breathlessness, the man was admitted to the hospital and had tested positive for the coronavirus later.

The number of deaths due to the coronavirus infection in Chitwan has reached 22. Of them, 12 are from Chitwan and others from outside the district.

Meanwhile, 34 people have tested positive in tests carried out at Bharatpur Hospital.

A report released by the COVID Lab of Bharatpur Hospital at midnight confirmed the infection in 34 people, including 30 from Chitwan.

According to Lab’s Head Dr. Neetu Adhikari, people aged 10 to 66 years have been diagnosed positive.
