Landslide-obstructed Bhimfedi-Kulekhani Road resumes

MAKAWANPUR: The Bhimfedi-Kulekhani Road which was inoperative since last Wednesday due to landslide at Salleri and Sukaura at Phakhel of Indrasarobar Rural Municipality-2 in Makwanpur district has opened for traffic from today noon.

Traffic movement resumed in the Phakhel road section of the Road from where the vehicles coming to Kathmandu from Hetauda and vice versa travel, according to Phakhel Police Post.

The landslide triggered by incessant rain had disrupted the vehicular movements in seven places of the Bhimfedi-Kulekhani Road.

With the resumption of the road, hundreds of stranded vehicles have set out to their respective destinations via the road, informed Area Police Office, Bhimfedi’s police inspector, Surendra Shrestha.

Meanwhile, the vehicular movement has been operative in Naubise road section to Hetauda road section under the Tribhuvan Highway.

Vehicles carrying essential supplies for Kathmandu are plying the road along this Highway unabatedly, according to the District Police Office, Makwanpur.
