180 new cases take Nepal’s COVID-19 caseload to 15,964

Death toll hits 35



KATHMANDU: Nepal has confirmed 180 new positive cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, Ministry of Health and Population said on Monday afternoon.

Spokesperson at the Ministry Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that with the addition of the case, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally now stands at 15,964.

Meanwhile, 264 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from different hospitals in the last 24 hours after recovering from the virus.

With this, 6,811 have been discharged across the country so far.

In the last 24 hours, 4,721 samples have been tested through PCR, said Spokesperson Dr. Gautam.

At present, 9,118 active cases of COVID-19 in Nepal and staying in isolation while 29,215 are in quarantines across the country.

Nepal’s death toll stands at 35 with one new death. The coronavirus infection has spread to all 77 districts of the country.
