*7 NAC crew members including 3 pilots infected with coronavirus

KATHMANDU: Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 7 crew members including three pilots of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC).

According to highly-placed NAC sources, they were involved in repatriation flights to bring back Nepalis stranded in different countries.

The source added that the flight crew members have been put in isolation and contact tracing has been started.

The national flag carrier has stepped up surveillance of other employees after the infection was confirmed on the crew members who were deployed for rescue flights to different countries.

NAC had quarantined all the crew members at Hotel Soaltee in Kathmandu.

Earlier, a foreign pilot of Himalaya Airlines was also confirmed to have coronavirus infection.
