Embossed number plate in operation after 2 yrs

KATHMANDU:  The Department of Transport Management (DTM) has opened an application for installation of embossed number plates.

The DTM opened applications on Sunday for Bagmati Zone and Bagmati Pradesh. However, the deadline for application has been mentioned.

The DTM has made it mandatory to submit a blue book along with the application form showing that the vehicular tax has been cleared.

The applicants also should pay the fee for embossed number plate prior to the application as per the types of vehicles, according to the DTM.

The installation of embossed number plates will begin from the Nepali month Shrawan.

The installation of embossed number plates had been stalled for over two years after a writ was filed at the Supreme Court seeking an interim order.

The installation work has resumed after the SC quashed the writ petition.
