Deliberation on Appropriation Bill, 2077 underway



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives is underway at the parliament building in New Baneshwor on Saturday.

Speaker of the House of Representatives Agni Sapkota began the meeting by reading out the President’s letter regarding the authentication of the bill.

The meeting will hold deliberation on various topics related to the ministries under the Appropriation Bill, 2077.

Lawmakers will express their views on the different topics related to the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and  Civil Aviation, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, the Ministry of Health and Population and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development

The other agenda to be discussed in the parliament today is the proposal of lawmaker of Rastriya Janamorcha Durga Paudel who will request to deduct Rs 100 in each topic of ministries.

Likewise, Lawmaker Minendra Rijal will float a proposal to reduce expenses in the Ministry of Finance under the Appropriation Bill, 2077.

Other lawmakers including Pradip Yadav, Prem Suwal, Bahadur Singh Lama among others will propose to reduce expenses in various topics of the ministries.
