Bangladesh confirms 9th death from coronavirus



DHAKA: Bangladesh has confirmed the death of ninth person from coronavirus with 18 more people testing positive for the virus during the last 24 hours.

Bangladesh’s Health Minister Zahid Maleque on Sunday said the death toll from the infection of the new coronavirus is now nine.

According to him, 18 more people were tested positive in the last 24 hours, raising the new cases to a total of 88.

As of now, the global death toll from COVID-19 has reached 64,787, according to worldometer.

Coronavirus, which was first reported in China in December 2019, is affecting some 206 countries and territories around the world.
