KATHMANDU: Some 19 Nepali doctors who are struck in London due to the coronavirus outbreak are desperate to return to Nepal.

The doctors had reached London to appear in the British General Medical Council (GCM) examination in different times.

Among them, five doctors who reached London at the end of February this year could not appear in the examinations owing to the global pandemic.

“We were preparing for the examination when we were informed about the postponement of the examination,” a doctor said.

Doctors are required to sit for the GCM examination to obtain the license.
