Australian national arrested in Nepal for pedophilia

KATHMANDU: An Australian national has been arrested in Nepal on the charge of pedophilia.

According to the Metropolitan Police Circle, Bouddha, the arrestee is 58-year-old Gonduk Rinpoche.

Rinpoche, the Chief of Kadamba Bouddha Academy in Aarubari, was arrested on Thursday afternoon.

He has been accused of sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy.

Rinpoche was presented before Kathmandu District Court today and the court remanded him to custody.
