Committee meeting postponed after Minister Pokhrel fails to show up

KATHMANDU: The parliamentary State Affairs and Good Governance Committee today postponed its today’s meeting after Minister for Defense Ishwor Pokhrel and Chief of Army Staff Purna Chandra Thapa did not turn up.

Thursday’s meeting was convened to discuss complaints about some financial irregularities in the Nepal Army.

The meeting of the committee had earlier summoned Minister Pokhrel and CoAS Thapa to be present at today’s committee meeting.

Committee’s chairperson Shashi Shrestha instructed Defense Secretary Reshmi Raj Pandey to convey the committee’s message to Minister Pokhrel.
