Gorkha jeep mishap victims airlifted to Kathmandu



GORKHA: The injured in the Balelo jeep accident in Manbu of Gorkha district have been airlifted to Kathmandu.

They have been admitted to Norvic International Hospital.   They were rescued in a Nepal Army helicopter.

A man died on the spot and seven others including rural municipality chief Phulmaya Gurung sustained injuries when a Balero jeep, Ga 1 Ja 5505, met with an accident at Manbu on Wednesday evening.

The deceased is Kiran Rimal, ward secretary of Dharche rural municipality-6. Rimal originally hails from Lamjung, informed SP Om Prasad Adhikari of District Police Office, Gorkha.

They were heading to Kashigaun to participate in a disability ID card distribution program.

The other injured in the accident are Dhan Bahadur Gurung, Nisha Gurung, Sharmila Gurung, Keyar Singh Gurung of the municipality, Saroj Gurung of PHASE Nepal  and jeep driver Bal Chandra Gurung.
