Coronavirus cases rise to 29 in India



KATHMANDU: The neighboring country India has also been hit by the corona virus as it continued its march across the world.

There are 29 confirmed cases of coronavirus in India as of Wednesday evening after 26 cases were reported in the last three days.

Earlier, three people had tested positive for COVID19 in February.

Two people tested positive for coronavirus on Monday, eight on Tuesday and 15 who returned recently from Italy tested positive for the new virus.

Likewise, a new case of infection was confirmed in Gurugram, yesterday. The patient is a Paytm employee.

With the new virus spreading, the Indian government is making preparations to set 19 labs to tackle the virus, Indian media said.
