General Naravane provides medical equipment to NA



KATHMANDU: Indian Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane has provided medical equipment to two field hospitals of Nepal Army during his three-day visit to Nepal.

He has handed over medical goods to the Nepal Army at the Army Headquarters as per the agreement reached in the 13th meeting on exchange of security cooperation between the two countries.

Posting a twitter message, Indian Embassy in Kathmandu said, “Indian Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane provided x-ray machine, ICU ventilator, video endoscopy unit, anesthesia machine, and ambulance among others.”

Earlier, a contingent of the Nepali Army presented a guard of honor to the visiting Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army, Manoj Mukund Naravane, at a ceremony held at the Army Headquarters today.

General Naravane planted a sapling of walnut on the precincts of the Army Headquarters. Immediately after this, CoAS Thapa and the Indian Army Chief have begun official talks.

General Naravane visited the Veer Smarak (Memorial to the Brave Soldier) at the Army pavilion, Tundikhel and offered tribute.

General Naravane has come here to accept the Honorary General of the Nepali Army in keeping with the tradition of the Nepali and the Indian Army of conferring the rank of Honorary General on each other’s the Chief of the Army Staff.
