Three die from COVID-19 like symptoms in Saptari



SAPTARI: Three persons have died from a disease having similar symptoms to coronavirus in Saptari district.

They include one person, a Malaysia-returnee, who was staying in home quarantine, two died while undergoing treatment at a hospital.

The 45-year-old Malaysia-returnee male was staying at his home in Rupani rural municipality of the district.

He was rushed to the Rajbiraj-based Gajendra Narayan Hospital after he complained of high fever and difficulty in breathing.

The hospital had referred him to the Dharan-based hospital where he breathed his last on the way, according to Dr Ranjit Jha, the Medical Superintendent of Gajendra Narayan Hospital.

Likewise, two others died while undergoing treatment at the Chinnamasta Hospital in Rajbiraj.

They were hospitalized after complaints of breathing difficulty.

The deceased are 74-year-old of Dakeswori Municipality-9 and a 71-year-old of Rajgadh in the district.
