Nine ‘VIP’ gamblers released on bail



KATHMANDU: Nine ‘VIP’ gamblers arrested for gambling during the lockdown have been released on bail.

Kathmandu Chief District Officer Janak Raj Dahal has ordered to release one person on bail of Rs 40,000 and others on bail of Rs 30,000 each.

They were remanded to five-day in custody after being arrested on Monday night.

Acting on a tip-off, a police squad from Metropolitan Police Circle Durbarmarg had arrested them on Monday night.

Police had seized Rs 277,720 from them during the raid.
