Dayaram Dahal appointed Film Development Board chairperson

KATHMANDU: The government has appointed Dayaram Dahal as Chairperson of the Film Development Board.

A meeting of the cabinet Thursday evening made the decision to appoint film director Dahal to the Board – which is a government authority responsible to regulate and develop the movie industry.

He was earlier a member of the Board. The post of the chairperson of the board was lying vacant since the death of the incumbent Chairperson Keshav Bhattarai in December in 2019.

The government had then called for applications for the position.
