All COVID-19 patients in normal health condition: Health Ministry

KATHMANDU: Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Bikash Devkota has said that the health condition of the corona-infected patients in hospitals across the country is normal.

Speaking at a regular press briefing on Monday, Spokesperson Devkota said that 75 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Nepal so far.

Of them, 58 are men and 17 are women. According to Dr. Devkota, one in Rupandehi, 16 in Nepalgunj, one in Dhangadhi, one in Bharatpur, nine in Birgunj and 31 in Biratnagar are being treated in isolation wards of various hospitals.

A total of 17 cases have been reported in Province-5, 13 in Province-2, seven in Bagmati, five in Far-Western and two in Gandaki Province.

According to Dr. Devkota, coronavirus cases have not been found in the districts of Karnali Province so far.

Spokesperson Dr. Devkota said that the highest number of 31 corona-infected people is in Province-1.

So far 13,600 samples have been tested by the PCR method and 50,845 samples by the RDT method. There are currently 21,523 people in quarantine and 106 people in isolation across the country.
