Biplav outfit accuses govt of hiding coronavirus data



KATHMANDU: The outlawed Netra Bikram Chand alias Biplav-led outfit has expressed suspicion that the government is hiding information on deaths caused by COVID-19.

Issuing a statement on Saturday, General Secretary Biplav questioned the credibility of the information system of the government stating that private hospitals have refused to admit patients and some have lost their lives while undergoing treatment.

“It has fueled the suspicion that the government is hiding deaths by the coronavirus,” reads the statement.

The outfit has accused the government of being involved in corruption in procuring necessary medical equipment.
