Current Parliament session will soon endorse MCC: PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli on Tuesday asserted that the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact will be soon endorsed through the current session of Parliament.

While talking to a group of editors at his official residence in Baluwatar, the prime minister said that illusions have been created among the public about MCC.

He maintained that the US assistance was appropriate for Nepal and it will be ratified through the Parliament soon.

“The agreement is suitable for Nepal although it was signed by an erstwhile government,” he asserted, “It will be soon endorsed through the current session of Parliament.”

On a separate note, the prime minister requested the editors not to ‘prioritize’ the activities of the outlawed Netra Bikram Chand alias Biplav-led outfit.

“The outfit is creating terror. Nepal doesn’t need another revolution,” PM Oli maintained.

Informing the editors about his health condition, the prime minister revealed that he will get his kidney re-transplanted soon.
