President Bhandari invites PM Oli and Prachanda for talks

KATHMANDU: Amid criticism for being active in the internal disputes of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), President Bidya Devi Bhandari has invited Prime Minister KP Oli and NCP Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” for talks.

President Bhandari held separate meetings with PM Oli and Prachanda on Thursday as well. She has been criticized for her involvement in “active politics” and working in favor of PM Oli.

Observers say President Bhandari is playing an active role in resolving the intra-party dispute.

During Thursday’s meeting, she urged PM Oli and Prachanda to work on the basis of consensus.
