40 percent work of Bhojpur Stadium completes



BHOJPUR: Construction work of Bhojpur Stadium has been expedited. Forty percent construction of the stadium has been over, said the construction company, Rayamajhi Marseli JV.

“We could not work on the project for four months during the lockdown. Thereafter the construction has got a speedy pace now,” said the company’s Chief Shyam Shrestha, adding that the project would be completed by the coming July if the government releases budget in time.

The deadline to complete the project is 2023. Sixty percent construction of the office building and the foundation has been completed.

The stadium has the capacity to accommodate 5,000 people. Spanning over 23 ropanis of the lands, the project prioritized by the state government was begun 10 months ago with project costs of Rs 140 million.

The budget was provided by the Urban Development and Building Construction Office, Dhankuta.
