131 APF officials including DSP infected with COVID-19



KATHMANDU: With the upsurge in the coronavirus cases in the country of late, as many as 131 Armed Police Force (APF) personnel including DSP have been infected with the virus.

According to APF Spokesperson DIG Raju Aryal, one infected APF official is from Kathmandu, 33 from Jhapa while the remaining are from Ilam.

The infected have been isolated for treatment and the contact tracing of those who had come into contact with the infected is underway, said DIG Aryal.

Sixty-eight among those infected APF personnel have been discharged so far.
