128 held for not wearing masks in Bara



BIRGUNJ: Bara Police has nabbed 128 people for strolling outside sans masks on Saturday.

According to Gautam Mishra, the Spokesperson of Bara District Police, the people walking in the streets sans masks were arrested from Kalaiya Sub-metropolitan City’s market area.

District Administration Office, Bara had earlier issued a notice to the public to put on masks compulsorily as a preventive measure to check and control corona pandemic transmission.

Earlier, Nepal Police had sensitized the public to put on masks as a preventive measure to check COVID-19 pandemic transmission.

The Police spokesperson informed that the arrested were released taking Rs 100 fine each as per the Infectious Disease Control Act, 1964.
