Quarantine-returnee woman dies in Kailali



KAILALI: A woman who returned home after staying in quarantine for 14 days has died in Kailali district.

The deceased is 48-year-old woman of Godawari municipality of Kailali district.

Hypertension and paralysis-ridden woman had returned home along with her husband, daughter and daughter-in-law from Surat City in the Indian State of Gujarat after receiving treatment.

She had been sent back home after her swab result conducted through RDT method came out positive.

Two among four family members tested positive for coronavirus under RDT test and are still in the quarantine.

The swab of the deceased was collected on Friday itself and sent to Dhangadhi for PCR screening, said Health branch of Godawari Municipality.

The body of the deceased is at home. The final rites will be performed once the PCR swab result will come out, it is learnt.
