KATHMANDU: The Standing Committee (SC) meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) scheduled for Saturday has been postponed for Monday.

According to an NCP leader, the next meeting will be held on July 6. The SC meeting has been postponed after President Bidya Bhandari ended the session of both the Houses of the Federal Parliament on Thursday afternoon on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.

The meeting, which was adjourned for a while on Thursday, was scheduled for today saying there was a serious crisis in intra-party unity. However, the meeting was postponed for Monday as no solution was in sight till Saturday.

The intra-party feud deepend further after Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli reiterated his stance for not leaving both the posts during a meeting with another chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal in Baluwatar on Friday morning.

Dahal-Nepal camp has been demanding KP Oli’s resignation to settle the current intra-party dispute.
