KATHMANDU: The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Secretariat meeting has started at the Prime Minister’s residence, Baluwatar.
The NCP Secretariat meeting is expected to finalize the party’s candidacy for the post of National Assembly members and Speaker. The elections for the members of the National Assembly has been slated for January 23.
The meeting held on Thursday was postponed for today after it could not strike a deal , according to a source privy to the meeting.
The meeting did not touch upon the candidacy for the post of Speaker of the House of Representatives even though it was a part of the meeting agenda.
