Nepali migrant workers can make payment online

KATHMANDU: Nepali migrant workers can now make payments to the foreign employment welfare fund and temporary life insurance policy online, reducing the hassles they were supposed to face in the process.

The beneficiaries are not bound to pay additional fees in this regard, according to the Foreign Employment Regulations, 2064.

They can make payments through eSewa and zone points of eSewa personally or institutionally.

Likewise, those who have returned home from a job in foreign countries and are in the process to get their visa renewed for the same job can fill out the form and make payment to the Fund through eSewa.

Also, the recruitment agency, involved in the process to send Nepalis for foreign jobs can deposit funds in the Fund in a bulk, on behalf of migrant workers. For that, it can make payment through eSewa by using a code it has acquired.
