Two bodies recovered after Rolpa landslide



DANG: The bodies of two people who went missing after being buried in a landslide in Rolpa have been recovered, police said on Sunday.

According to the District Police Office, Rolpa, the victims were identified as 51-year-old Asauji Gharti Magar and 36-year-old Amara Gharti Magar, both residents of Sunchhahari Rural Municipality-1.

The two had gone to graze cattle and goats along the Dawang Lek road in Seram on Saturday afternoon when they were caught in the landslide and went missing.

Police said the bodies have been sent to Rolpa Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Another person, 60-year-old Kule Gharti Magar, was injured in the same incident. He is receiving treatment at the Seram Health Post after sustaining injuries to various parts of his body.
