VTEN moves Patan High Court against possible arrest



KATHMANDU: It has come to light popular Nepali rapper Sami Ghising alias VTEN has moved the court seeking an order against a possible arrest.

The rapper is being investigated by the Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police for promoting obscenity and defaming the police through a song on YouTube.

He has filed a case at Patan High Court seeking an order to stop his arrest.

A single bench of Judge Nahakul Subedi has completed hearing on the writ on Monday and the decision is expected to follow in a while.

Nepal Police Headquarters had directed Cyber Bureau to take action against him.

In a statement on Saturday, the rapper had apologized and had stated that he has removed the song at it offended ‘some bodies’.
