India COVID-19 death toll surpasses 100,000-mark

KATHMANDU: India recorded 79,774 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 6,471,734.

Currently, 945,918 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 5,424,943 have returned home after treatment.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in India has crossed the 100,000-mark.

With 1,069 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 100,873, according to the latest figures collated by Worldometers.
