18 injured as bus overturns on BP Highway in Dhulikhel



KATHMANDU: Eighteen people were injured in a bus accident this morning at Shardabatas in Dhulikhel Municipality-10, along the BP Highway in Kavrepalanchok.

According to the District Police Office, the passenger bus (Bagmati Province-3-01-005 Kha 9942), traveling from Kathmandu to Okhaldhunga, lost control and overturned into a roadside ditch.

The incident occurred when the bus, carrying 24 people, including the driver and co-driver, veered off the road.

“Of the 18 injured, seven are in moderate condition, while the rest sustained minor injuries,” said Deputy Superintendent of Police Min Bahadur Ghale.

All the injured are currently undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
