Bhaktapur’s COVID-19 death toll hits 10



BHAKTAPUR: A woman who was suffering from kidney ailment has died of coronavirus infection on Thursday.

A resident of Duwafalchaka in ward no 6 of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality, the 40-year-old woman died in the course of treatment at Patan Hospital, according to Chief of the District Health Office, Bhaktapur Krishna Mijar.

The woman had been admitted to the hospital on August 19, after being confirmed positive to the coronavirus.

Two more members of the woman’s family, including her husband, have also tested positive for the virus and are under home isolation.

With this, the death toll to the deadly virus in Bhaktapur has reached 10, including five from Madhyapur Thimi, four from Surya Binayak and one from Bhaktapur municipality.
