Chitwan records 39 additional coronavirus cases



CHITWAN: As many as 39 additional coronavirus cases have been reported in Chitwan district.

The newly infected are 38 from Chitwan and one from Sarlahi district. The new cases were confirmed during swab tests carried out at the laboratory of Bharatpur Hospital.

According to Dr Nitu Adhikari, the chief at the COVID Laboratory of Bharatpur Hospital, 39 new cases aged 16 to 80 were confirmed during lab tests on Wednesday night.

The infected are eight males aged 16 to 59 and 11 females aged 23 to 80 from Bharatpur Metropolitan City.

Similarly, six men and two women from Ratnanagar municipality have also been infected with the COVID-19.

The other infected include one male and three females from Khairahani, three males and two females from Kalika and one female and one male from Madi.

Likewise, a 55-year-old man from Sarlahi district is among those infected with the COVID-19, said COVID-19 Information Center, Chitwan.
