Septuagenarian man dies of coronavirus in Biratnagar

KATHMANDU: An elderly man who died at Koshi Hospital in Biratnagar has been diagnosed with coronavirus infection.

Hospital’s information officer Bishnu Bahadur Budhathoki told Khabarhub that the coronavirus was confirmed after the death of a 77-year-old man of Biratnagar Metropolitan City-5.

According to him, the man was admitted to the isolation of the hospital at 11:30 am on Monday.

The man died while undergoing treatment in isolation at 3 pm today and the report came positive a few minutes ago, said Information Officer Budhathoki.

The dead body is still in the isolation of the hospital and will be managed only on Tuesday.

With the death, Nepal’s death toll from coronavirus has reached 58. However, the Ministry of Health and Population is yet to confirm the death officially.
