NYA Coordinator Sapkota warns action against youths staging protest in support of PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Youths have taken to the streets in support of Prime Minister KP Oli in different parts of the country.

Nepal Communist Party (NCP) cadres loyal to PM Oli have staged demonstrations in favor of the latter stating that Oli is a patriotic leader dedicated to the citizens of the country.

PM Oli had met student leaders loyal to him at his official residence in Baluwatar on Thursday evening and had directed them to wage protests in his favor.

Meanwhile, Coordinator of the National Youth Association (NYA) Ram Prasad Sapkota has warned action against youths staging protests.

“Demonstrations in the streets neglecting party meetings are not acceptable. It is a shame that we, the ruling party, have taken to the street at the time we need to maintain social distancing to ward off coronavirus. Strict action will be taken against the youths involved in the protest,” he said.
